Speaking to Football Insider, Gabriel Agbonlahor of talkSPORT has slammed West Ham United forward Michail Antonio over his ‘very poor’ form.
The Lowdown: Antonio tails off…
After winning August’s Premier League Player of the Month award at the start of the season, it is arguable that the 31-year-old has tailed off since then.

Antonio has scored just twice in his last 17 league outings for West Ham, providing three assists in that time, in what could be a potentially worrying statistic for Irons manager David Moyes.
The Hammers couldn’t add another striker in the January transfer window and will be heavily reliant on the Jamaica international picking up his form in front of goal.
The Latest: Agbonlahor criticises Antonio…
Speaking to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor has criticised Antonio for his form, stating he has been ‘very poor for a long time’.
The talkSPORT pundit said of West Ham: “They are over-reliant on Michail Antonio and he’s been very poor for a long time, for me. Whenever he gets on the ball his first touch is not great.
“Benrahma and Fornals have also been very poor. The only performers have been Bowen and Rice, everyone else has been poor.
“They’ve got no chance of making the top-four and no chance of making the top-six.”
The Verdict: Big few weeks for Antonio…
The 31-year-old clearly has scope to improve going by his sensational start to this season, but Moyes will be hoping that the Jamaican rediscovers that form sooner rather than later.
Antonio’s injury record has actually been solid this season but his continued involvement arguably hasn’t yielded the results for which West Ham had been hoping.
As Moyes chases a Champions League place in a bid to make history at West Ham, he will need the squad’s star striker to fire once more as they seek to redress their decline in form.
