[ad_pod ]Moussa Sissoko says he will be back and better than ever soon after suffering an injury blow against Manchester United. The midfielder limped off against the Red Devils, as Spurs lost 1-0.
What’s the word?
Sissoko suffered an apparent muscle injury in the first-half of Spurs’ defeat to United, as he pulled up unchallenged after attempting to sprint down the right flank.
Despite attempting to carry on, the France international eventually succumbed to the problem and was replaced by Erik Lamela.
Sissoko’s injury was not the only blow sustained by Spurs, as Harry Kane also limped off at the end of the game, after a heavy tackle from Phil Jones.

The injuries come at a less than opportune time for Spurs, who face a Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea in just 10 days.
And Sissoko has tweeted that he will soon be back on the field.
Eric Dier is also still on the treatment table, along with Victor Wanyama, leaving Spurs frighteningly short in central midfield.
Dembele departing leaves Spurs floundering
Sissoko has been an unexpected revelation for Spurs this season, thriving in a central midfield role and becoming indispensable to manager Mauricio Pochettino.
However, the sale of Mousa Dembele to Beijing Guoan is edging ever closer; Football.London report that the Belgium international has flown out to China to complete the £11million transfer.
Spurs are subsequently left with just Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp to operate in central midfield, though Dele Alli or Christian Eriksen could be asked to drop deep to deputise for Sissoko if he is ruled out for a significant period of time.
With injuries piling up and Spurs unlikely to invest in the January transfer window, they have to hope that he is not on the sidelines for too long.
The nuclear scenario, of course, is that both Sissoko and Kane are ruled out for over a month, and that Spurs’ season derails as a result.
Pochettino will have to keep everything crossed that the worst-case scenario does not come to pass.
