Aston Villa fans have been demanding one thing after the latest update from the England camp.
Following Saturday’s defeat to Burnley, Everton midfielder Fabian Delph has withdrawn from Gareth Southgate’s England squad to face the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
The 29-year-old played the entire duration of their 1-0 loss at Turf Moor but reportedly managed to pick up a hamstring injury making him unavailable to play this week.
A statement from the Football Association said, “no further replacements are planned at this moment,” which has left several fans over at Villa Park wanting their captain Jack Grealish to be called up in their former midfielder’s absence.

Back in 2015, the 24-year-old opted for England over the Republic of Ireland despite being capped by the Boys in Green at U21 level, though, he has yet to be selected for the Three Lions’ senior side.
Grealish did win the 2016 Toulon Tournament for the U21s back in 2016, but that elusive first senior cap still escapes him.
One supporter told Southgate to ‘check the stats’ and also claimed that the time is right to bring him into the fold while another fan believed it would be the perfect time to do so.
Others simply said ‘Grealish in’ and ‘Announce Grealish’ upon hearing the news of Delph’s omission.
Here’s the best of the reaction:
