Oh no – it has happened again.
Another Everton player has attempted to raise the spirits of the fans, by issuing a rallying cry ahead of Tuesday’s EFL Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
Seamus Coleman looked to do the same ahead of the Sheffield United game at the weekend, and the right-back’s words were slammed on social media.
As it transpired, the Toffees actually lost against the Blades on Saturday afternoon to pile the pressure on head coach Marco Silva.
The Merseyside giants are back in action against Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup tonight, and Mason Holgate said that his team would be determined to “return to winning ways” following back-to-back league defeats.

But just like Coleman, Holgate’s words have not been well received.
The Everton fans have simply heard the song too many times and are becoming increasingly frustrated with what they perceive to be empty promises.
